Youth Competition | Our History | 60th Celebration
You're hearing, in MP3 format, the 2.5 minute Gigue (the last of the 6 movements) from Bach's cello suite No. 2 in D minor played by Pablo Casals for a recording in the 1930s - remastered later for CD. This suite will be played by Amid Peled in the 6th concert of our season on March 20.
Concert Locations
All concerts except for the fourth, on January 26, 2010, are held at Lincoln Middle School, located just West of Teall Avenue at 1613 James Street, Syracuse. See the second map below for the location of the fourth concert.
If coming from Route 690, exit at Teall Avenue. Follow Teall Avenue north to James Street. At James Street, turn left. Go past Hampton Rd. on your right. The entrance to the Lincoln Middle School parking lot is the next right. The school is set back a little way from James St. The driveway leads to a large parking area. There is additional parking at the rear of the building.
The entrance to the building faces the parking lot. The auditorium is on the ground floor. The facility is handicapped-accessible.
